The Nilnag Lake is situated at the foot hills of the pine forest; the lake receives the particles of soil from the catchment. On other side, some agricultural activities were in progresses which were also adding nutrients to the lake. However, the mud extracted from the lake has been spread over large areas, made the area further vulnerable to environmental deterioration. With just one rainfall and consequent run-off will certainly further degrade the whole ecosystem.
